Patterns and Personality Disorders
Most of the personality disorders represent the extreme case of one of the problematic patterns. In some cases, the personality disorder involves a combination of two or three patterns, in the extreme. The following table shows which patterns correspond to each personality disorder.
| Personality Disorder | Pattern |
| Paranoid | Suspicious, prideful, victim |
| Schizoid | Isolated |
| Schizotypal | Isolated |
| Antisocial | Deceptive |
| Borderline | Needy, victim, aggressive |
| Histrionic | Charming |
| Narcissistic | Prideful, entitled, defensive |
| Avoidant | Insecure |
| Dependent | Needy, compliant |
| Obsessive-compulsive | none |
| Passive-aggressive | Passive-aggressive, defiant |
| Depressive | Self-judging |
The obsessive-compulsive personality disorder doesnt correspond to an interpersonal pattern because it is not particularly interpersonal in nature.
